Power Over Ethernet
Now that Power over Ethernet is an IEEE standard (802.3af ), there many ways to power your NBX Phone. First and foremost if you are ordering new NBX Phones from your NBX reseller, make sure they are 1102PE, 2101PE, 2102PE, etc... the PE stands for Power over Ethernet and you can plug your PoE switches directly into the phone and no splitter is required. Yes, you still can power your "OLD" NBX phones over the Cat 5 cabling, however, it will require the NBX Podule or the Midspan EPS solution with EPS splitters found below.

This page is dedicated to powering your NBX phones and wireless access points from the closet or the main switch location. Eliminating the need to have power and a UPS at each telephone location.
