RITA
RITA, or Remote Information Technology Assistant, offers IT service and support for companies not
wanting to worry about managing their corporate network or help their existing IT professional in managing the day to day operations of maintaining a Local Area Network. Basic RITA is not designed to replace your IT staff but to enhance their productivity. However, for the companies that do not have an on staff IT Pro, RITA can
very easily take charge and prevent all those expensive on site visits from the "network guy!"
RITA, a Metropark controlled, rack mountable device, installed and configured for a one-time setup fee and
small monthly charge, provides network, and phone system, information to Metropark's trained IT staff.
"RITA allows us to manage and maintain a businesses network from Metropark's Network Management Center",
says Bob Herrold, Metropark's Senior Network Engineer. "Via RITA we can securely access, view, and
troubleshoot a company’s network without having to be onsite." Herrold says RITA allows Metropark to monitor
if a router goes down or if network traffic gets increasingly busy. RITA can also be used to apply upgrades
and patches to a company's routers, switches, and even phone system.
"Basic RITA is a foundation which companies can build upon. RITA is designed to be a modular assistant,
allowing a company to select A La Carte the components they would like to implement. RITA will do as much,

LAN, to wireless, to internet, to WAN, to Phone Systems can be added as needed. For instance one option is
the NBX Option. This is an option package designed to help your NBX administrator keep your NBX
communications system running smooth. RITA-NBX Option allows Metropark's certified NBX specialists to
maintain and administer your NBX phone systems, freeing up your IT professionals to concentrate on other
aspects of your networking infrastructure. This package includes:

- Upgrades to latest version of software up to 12 times per year
- Backups of NBX database preformed up to 3 times per week
- Off-Site backups performed up to once per week
